Country Girl

She’s the country girl at heart
She’s the country girl at heart
She takes the boat
On the seashore
Catches the fish
Drinks lemonade fresh
Climbs the trees
Hears leaves rustlings
Talks to the flowers
Walks barefoot on grass
She’s the country girl at heart
She’s the country girl at heart

She gazes the flying birds and planes
Crosses wooden bridge over blue lake
She loves buggs and chicks
Hot tea, toasts and eggs
She enjoys playing guitar
With her peachy pals
She rides the horse
up the gentle mountain slopes
She’s the country girl at heart
She’s the country girl at heart

And when she wakes up from her dream
Takes a look from the window, of the street
There’s dead hearts, there’s broken dreams
There’s skyscrapers, there’s blowing horn screams
She hates the crowd, so loud
The brassy looks and pretentious mouths
Her dreams fade out like Smokey clouds over hill side
The smile wanes, lips press into thin line
She needs caring hugs and smiles
She gazes the sky holding high hopes in the eyes
Because, She’s the country girl at heart
She’s the country girl at heart
